Msibi Academy (Pty) Ltd is a registered private company registered. Our core business is “Education”, to help students and the general public. Working in conjunction with universities providing a program to assist students in understanding accounting as well as the public in understanding financial literacy in order to reach financial freedom.

BUSINESS PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING ON CED

Initially established in 2015 and registered in 2018. Msibi Academy was a one man show that was started in 2015 at Orion residence where the founder used to reside while doing his 3rd year. After numerous failed attempts I decided to tutor the module as a way of forcing myself to practise every day

BUSINESS HIGHLIGHTS SINCE ENROLLING ON CED

Since enrolling on CED, Msibi Academy got its first contract within day 1 of pitching which was a 6-month contract TUT. That improved the company’s ratings as well as increase our prospect as we saw an increased in our enrolling the following year which wasn’t only just TUT Students but it stretched to other institutions through referrals from previous students.

POSITIVE BUSINESS OUTCOMES ATTRIBUTED TO CED PARTICIPATION

Enrolling with CED contributed tremendously to the growth of the company. Our Business Administration wasn’t in order however now it is and it’s because of the programme the CED had which covered all the business administration and operations. The mentorship also provided a view which as a company weren’t aware of, mainly in operations and law. The company started with its online Financial Education show which will stream on YouTube. We will be participating in building a Financial Education Board Game that will be used by everyone who is interested in increasing their finance knowledge and understand how to use money wisely.

ASPIRATIONS FOR THE BUSINESS

In the next 5 years, it’s our aspiration that we have at least two operating tutoring centres which will have a training facility for corporate as we plan to include Business Finance short courses. We intend having 25 individuals join our team

NEXT LEVEL FUNDING REQUIREMENT AND WHAT IS THE ANTICIPATED GROWTH OF THE BUSINESS AT THIS NEXT LEVEL

We need funding of about R150 000 – R200 000 which will be used for infrastructure. The company is forecasting revenue of R400 000 in the next year and to increase it by 25% each year afterwards. We plan to hire the additional members of the team during this new level to facilitate the growth.
